hello,

my name is elora (elle-aura). I'm so happy you're here!

I've always adored the arts. I enjoy living a colourful creative life that includes, but isn't limited to, sketching, illustration, writing, theatre, makeup, music, sculpting, crafting, styling, web design, and photography.

I was once told that I have my 'hands in all the pies', which was honestly the sweetest way to describe my enthusiasm for growth and experimentation.

story time

One tucked-away dream of mine has been to be in a band and collaborate with other artists. While I did have some guitar lessons when I was 12, being an undiagnosed, generally anxious ginger kid, the closest I would get to this dream for a long time would be rocking out with my daughters, singing them their bedtime stories, and writing special lullabies just for them.

As you know, children grow, and so when the timin g was right, I went to college.

Around this time, a friend of mine told me about a local theatre company holding auditions for the musical Mary Poppins. I was overcome with a surge of courage to audition. What I lacked in experience I made up for with an abundance of enthusiasm! If you don't laugh at yourself, how the hell you gonna laugh at somebody else, right?

I found out years later that it had actually been a close call, but alas, I wasn't cast in the production. No 'spoonful of sugar' was required however, as I was just so darn proud of myself for even attempting to do the thing, and ultimately, that "no" would lead to an even snazzier "yes"! If I had been cast in the ensemble of Mary Poppins, I may have never been cast as Sally Simpson in Tommy: The Musical.

Tommy was a pivotal experience, which led to the development of forever friendships, and many opportunities to learn from the best in my local theatre community.

some advice

If you ever find yourself wondering if you should do the thing, you probably should.

love elora

Music is an intrinsic part of any human experience! For myself, it's playing my favourite track a thousand times (thanks to my family for allowing this... hehe), or writing my stuff, music has gotten me through some of life's tougher challenges.

The small tucked-away dream of being in a band has since evolved from my guitar-girl fantasies. I began to dabble in music creation in 2022, and with encouragement from my loved ones, what began as a crunchy experimental endeavour to express suppressed emotions, has continued to expand every day.

I hope to collaborate with other creatives on musical shenanigans perhaps in the same way I work with humans to bring their design, branding, and creative dreams to life.

Thank you again for supporting my dreams, as it means everything to me.
